Multi-part fixtures make sense when machine capacity is constrained, cycle time supports loading multiple parts, spacing allows tool access, datum strategy is clear, clamps are reachable, chips can evacuate, and part-family potential exists. They may not make sense for unstable designs, very low volume, or parts with poor access.
